To confirm your participation at this year’s State Texas Science and Engineering Fair, it is important
to follow these steps:
For Science Fair Oracle users: Your Regional Fair will re-review your project and then finalize your project to advance. Finalists will then need to login to their account and click on the BIG YELLOW CONFIRMATION BUTTON. Complete the registration process and use your Oracle Student ID for payment purposes. Payment will be done through the State Science Fair System. Please check with your school first before making payment. Some schools and school districts cover the registration fee. Schools/ Teachers please notify your parents/guardians whether the registration fee is covered by the school or parent.
NO REFUNDS will be made.
For Non-Science Fair Oracle users, you will receive a link via email to activate your PIN (see below):
A PIN (Personal identification Number) will be emailed to the student and teacher with a link to Activate your PIN.
Step 1: Activate your Personal Identification Number (PIN) provided to you by the Director of your Regional Science and Engineering Fair. To avoid paying the late registration fee of $50.00, activate PIN before the deadline indicated.
Step 2: The Director of your Regional Science and Engineering Fair will need a copy of your abstract and project forms to be sent to the state science and eningeering fair committee:

Step 3: Pay your registration fee of $35.00. Payment is required for each student participant. A $15.00 late fee is applied to participants who pay after the PIN/Oracle ID Activation deadline date provided. Visit our payment page and input each PIN/Oracle ID you are paying for. If paying by check, please input the PIN/Oracle ID(s) that you are paying for, print the invoice provided, and attach the invoice with the final amount on the check. Please account for the $5.00 check processing fee added to your invoice on the check. (Checks accepted on-site of the state science and engineering fair with invoice.)
$5.00 Check Processing Fee is required for each check. Make check payable to UTSA-TXSEF
No processing fee when paying by Visa, Master Card, Discovery, or American Express.
Absolutely NO CASH will be accepted!
TXSEF Registration Process
Projects allowed to compete in the Texas Science and Engineering Fair (TXSEF) MUST have entered ONLY (1) one Texas Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
Each Regional Fair is allowed up to 51 Junior Division projects and 51 Senior Division projects to compete in the TXSEF.
Junior Division is represented by middle school projects.
Senior Division is represented by high school projects.
FOR NON-ORACLE USERS: Each Regional Fair is responsible of providing each student a PIN (Personal Identification Number).
FOR ORACLE USERS: Each student will need to click on the BIG YELLOW CONFIRMATION BUTTON, complete the registration process, and use your Oracle Student ID for payment purposes.
• Registration Fees for each PIN activated before the Activation Deadline Date is $35.00.
• All PINs activated AFTER the Activation Deadline Date will pay a Late Registration Fee of $50.00.
• Payments MUST be received prior to competing in the TXSEF.

(IMPORTANT: Form 1B MUST be signed by your Regional Fair SRC. All Regional Directors have been informed to send all project paperwork to the state fair to assure Form 1B is signed.)
